Special Investigation Anti-Fraud Unit

Our qualified SIU Division serves as the contractual SIU for various insurance carriers, TPA's, and local government entities to assure compliance with all state laws. Our SIU can also work closely with your in-house SIU, handling overflow cases, Sub Rosa, witness statements, and similar services.

In California, every insurance carrier is required by law to maintain an active SIU. Although there are exemptions to the law for self insured entities, reinsurers, and certain other groups, opting out is not always the right answer. An active and experienced SIU is vital to properly combat and control insurance fraud.

Information Services

We are currently online with numerous worldwide and national databases. This allows us instant access to countless searches to aid in quickly locating individuals, learning UCC information, finding DMV records, obtaining corporate information, and other investigative aids.

We also maintain in-house databases to aid in our investigations. By using the databases we are successful in maintaining cost effectiveness for our clients, and drastically improving turn around time.

Background Investigations and Pre-employment Screening

We offer a variety of pre-employment screening and background options, from basic to in-depth. The basic, cost effective pre-employment screening includes name and SSN verification, criminal and civil records, driving record history, and related information. Our in-depth background reveals virtually all the facts, from employment verifications to drug histories.

On Site Drug Testing

We have the capability to conduct on-site drug testing which is accurate and generally more cost effective than sending the employee to a clinic or testing lab. The test is approved by DOT, and tests for a minimum of the five common abused drugs, in less than ten minutes. The test is as accurate as the lab tests. This test is frequently incorporated into our background or pre-employment screening investigations. Should you need an even more thorough inventory of possible drug use, we have ongoing relationships with several labs where further tests can be performed.

Special Operations

When you suspect an employee of wrongdoing, but have no proof, our Special Operations investigators are there to help. Investigations of this type typically involve posting an investigator undercover at a warehouse or job site to observe worker interactions, and find the answers to questions that no one else can. The assignments vary from monitoring drug abuse or sales, to internal theft, to the selling company secrets, to property and related issues. Other investigations include using our hidden cameras for warehouse control, and many other related issues.

Internal Investigations

Internal internal investigations are for finding information and establishing liability after the fact, or for those times when an undercover operative is not necessary. When you need discreet statements and evidence gathering, whether it's in a case of internal theft and sale of company records and secrets, the misuse of corporate resources, or alleged sexual harassment, our investigators know the job. We utilize low key and friendly questioning techniques, which helps in learning the true facts and aids in determining the validity of the situation, while ensuring that the employee does not feel they are being unfairly treated by the employer.

Trademark Violations

Our Field Investigators are available to locate and purchase items and document the evidence from unscrupulous 'copycats'. Copied items range from disposable diapers to DVD's.
